Leighton Beach

Leighton Beach is a white-sand ocean beach in North Fremantle, close to Port Beach and easy to reach from the surrounding foreshore. A grassed area above the sand provides electric barbecues, picnic tables, toilets and a kiosk, with cafés and restaurants nearby. Swimming, sunset watching, walking and snorkelling are established ways to enjoy the coast, while low-wave conditions can suit young children. Conditions still change, so families and less confident swimmers should judge the water on the day.
