Ting Rai Bay lies on the hilly northern part of Koh Jum, known locally as Koh Pu, north-west of Ban Ting Rai village. A handful of bungalow resorts back the shore, and the bay faces southwest towards the evening sun. This part of the island is rockier than the south, with rocks exposed at low tide, so care is needed when walking or entering the water.
