About this beach
Playa del Alcalde is a tiny beach of sand and gravel, about 30 metres long, in front of the town hall and fishing port of Candelaria. Port breakwaters shield it from open-sea swell, so the water stays calm. It sits right in the urban centre and is reached by car.
