Praia do Ribeiro do Cavalo
Praia do Ribeiro do Cavalo is a natural cove west of Sesimbra, known for its golden sand and the horse-head-shaped rock formation that gave the beach its name. It is reached either by boat or via a steep, winding trail from the Sentrão side; sturdy footwear and reasonable fitness are advisable. This is a wild beach rather than a designated bathing area, with no showers, toilets or food services. Follow cliff-fall warnings, avoid lingering beneath unstable slopes, and carry water and all essentials.
