Padang Galak is a dark-sand beach at the northern edge of Sanur in East Denpasar, reached by steps or over the rocks. A paved path along the shore suits walking and jogging, and kite flyers gather here. Food stalls and toilets are close by, and the annual Melasti purification ceremony takes place on this shore; rocks and surf call for care.
