Mekaki is a long, empty stretch of pale sand, roughly two and a half kilometres, on the south-western coast of the Sekotong peninsula. The open-ocean shore gets strong waves that draw surfers. The road in is steep and mountainous, there are no facilities, and strong currents mean anyone entering the water needs real caution.
