Swanbourne Beach
Swanbourne Beach is a broad Indian Ocean beach in Perth’s western suburb of Swanbourne, with soft white sand, open water and a natural dune edge. The main Marine Parade access has parking, a café, public toilets, change facilities, showers, picnic space and a playground, while the quieter northern stretch is known for clothing-optional use. Swimming, beach walking and fishing are established activities, but afternoon winds can strengthen. The foreshore borders a Defence training area: public access is from the beach ends, dunes are off-limits, and live-fire exercises can close the adjacent shore, so follow signs, red flags and local warnings.
