Barrens Beach
Barrens Beach is a small, quiet sandy beach on the southern coast of Fitzgerald River National Park near Hopetoun, set within a protected landscape of rugged shoreline, dunes and native vegetation. Access is on foot from the car park via a short track and beach stairs, so reaching the water involves a descent rather than an easy, level urban-beach entry. The shore suits swimming in favourable conditions, relaxing on the sand, fishing and exploring the surrounding park. Although the beach is sheltered, currents, tides and rocky coastal sections can vary, so visitors should assess conditions before entering the water.
